Monster: Gourmand Dragon

In the simmering cauldron of the deep, the Gourmand Dragon lives long, steeping the broth, waiting to suck the marrow from this world, pairing it perhaps with a rich and earthy Malbec.

The Gourmand Dragon is an ancient being, a ruler of a bygone culinary empire to which the spices (salt, white pepper, saffron, sumac, galangal, and monosodium glutamate) did indeed flow. Though that empire has long since collapsed like a delicate soufflé, the Gourmand Dragon still endures, hoarding its special ingredients, sampling forgotten dishes, and waiting for a chef who can match its exquisite tastes.

Amber Seger and Kenny Webb of Cloud Curio create a Dragon using MONSTROUS to build the narrative and then used Kobold Press's Tales of the Valiant Alpha Release to stat it out using the narrative prompts to adjust the Gourmand Dragon's abilities.
